Yin Yoga is a unique approach to the yoga practice that works on releasing tension in the fascia. Fascia, the basic fabric of our body, is a thin sheet of membrane that wraps around each layer of our tissues from the skin to the bones. It is found everywhere from the skull of the head down to the toes. Studies have shown that fascia can contract which causes tightness, tension, and pain. This is especially true in the lower back, neck, and shoulder areas. Healthy fascia is important to the body's structure, integrity, as well as energy flow. In addition, Yin Yoga's focus on the pelvis releases tension and tightness around the hips and the lower back, and this allows all other body parts to start to open. Come and join us for this training if you are looking for a practice that will give you more mobility in your day-to-day movement!
