Research and literature will show the numerous benefits that can be derived from yoga practice. In yoga, you learn how to breathe properly, thus increasing your lung capacity. Organs and glands are stimulated in various postures thus enabling fresh, oxygenated blood to flow into and nourish them. Muscles are toned through isometric movements thus enabling you to develop a lean and well-defined body. The spine is lengthened, compressed, twisted through various postures thus assuring you of a strong, healthy and straight spine in your old age. The health of your spine is very important as this has a strong impact on quality of life. No amount of money can buy you a healthy spine. Only yoga can give you that!
Most sports and exercise programs only focus on muscles. Yoga focuses on your muscles, joints, organs and glands and most importantly, your breath. It is the control of your breath that will allow you to remain calm in the most stressful situation. Problems with your job? Your boss? Your family? Learn to breathe through it all. Only yoga will teach you that!
If you are physically active and engage in exercise or sports, yoga is the perfect crosstraining activity. In addition, yoga postures are therapeutic and provide a way to heal you from injuries related to sports or accidents. Knee problems from running, basketball, soccer or badminton? Tennis, badminton or gofer’s elbow? Shoulder and back pain from golf? Certain yoga postures will help strengthen the muscles around the joint to heal and prevent injuries and heal scar tissue.
Aside from physical benefits, yoga also develops your focus and concentration. If you love sports, your ability to focus under pressure can spell the difference in making that crucial shot at crunch time. It is difficult to imagine how keeping still in a particular yoga pose can help you in your game but it does. Famous athletes like Kobe Bryant and David Beckham, several NBA teams incorporate yoga into their training routines and reaped the benefits that it brings. If you are serious about your sport and want to continue to play it even when you’re old, it’s time to start practicing yoga.
To narrow it down, this is what yoga can do for you:
So come on over and lets do some yoga. Lets make this a happier and healthier world!

Hot A & Hot B
The Hot A and Hot B series are a 90-minute, beginners level, set sequence of 50 (Hot A) / 26 (Hot B) hatha yoga postures practiced in a room that is heated to 37 degrees celsius. Hot hatha yoga is a great cardiovascular workout that strengthens, tones and stretches the muscles in the body, providing a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating and effective yoga experience.
Worried about the heat? There is no need for worries! Our studio uses far infrared ray heating systems that heat up the body from the inside. It provides warm and soothing heat, heals injuries and prevents wrinkles. Imagine getting all of the good effects of morning sunshine without the nasty UV rays!
The heat allows you to reach deeper into your tissues, tendons and ligaments, safely leading you to improved flexibility, strength and blood circulation. Expect to perspire A LOT! And no, you will not need to wipe your sweat away! It is there to cool you off. Enjoy the sweat and receive the effects of total body detoxification through perspiration.
A regular practice of Hot hatha yoga stimulates the mind, restores and reshapes the body, and gives you an incredible sense of well being.
Hot C
Hot C classes put emphasis on developing upper body and core strength, which is essential to developing a deeper and stronger yoga practice. Hot C is a perfect combination to any other form of yoga!
The 90-minute, open level, Hot C class combines Vinyasa Yoga and core strengthening exercises and just like Hot A and B, Hot C is practiced in a room that is heated from 32 to 34 degrees celsius. Fluid transitions allow poses to flow from one to another, developing strength, stamina and flexibility. Postures vary from one class to another so you do not get bored.
Flow
A 90-minute, open level, yoga class that makes use of breath synchronized with each movement, characterized by rhythmic pacing and dynamic flow. The series of postures/asanas vary from class to class, with the teacher giving options for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. Emphasis is on building strength and stamina, as well as increasing endurance and testing the edges of your balance and flexibility.
Power Hour
Got only an hour to spare at lunch time? No problem!
Power Hour is a 60 minute, open level, yoga class that is perfect for those on the go. You get the exact same benefits of taking a 90 minute Flow class but at the same time, still get those extra minutes need to get you through your busy day.
Led Ashtanga
Let your teacher guide you through the first half of the Primary Ashtanga Series, a class based on the classical teachings of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Led Ashtanga is a 90 minute, open level class that is vigorous and dynamic. Its fluid yoga sequence will teach you to link your breath with your movement, creating your own internal heat and strength.
